We have said that device terminals supporting POE include wireless APs, network cameras, and so on. Then the intermediate connection between the terminal and the switch is the network cable used. We will choose the four connection methods from whether the terminal box switch supports POE.
First, switches and terminals support POE at the same time.
Second, the switch supports POE, and the terminal does not support POE.
Third, the switch does not support POE, and the terminal supports POE.
Fourth, neither switches nor terminals support POE.
The first type of simultaneous support is very easy to do. The poe switch directly connects to the wireless AP or network camera that supports POE.
It is necessary to ensure the quality of the network cable, because we have encountered the instability of the AP or IPC due to the poor quality of the network cable. Today, a friend asked in the background to ask whether the network cable distance of the network camera can reach 130-150 meters as the merchant said. We try to keep the network cable within the range of 80 meters, because the far signal will be attenuated, even if it is not seen, it will be There will be hidden dangers.
Another point, that is, what we said before, you need to pay attention to see, the terminal and the switch are standard POE devices, standard and non-standard different mix and match.
Second, the switch supports POE. The terminal does not support the POE. The other end of the network cable that the switch comes out is connected to the POE splitter. We also introduced the POE splitter. The transmission signal is divided into a data signal and power.


Third, the switch does not support POE. The terminal supports POE. The switch comes out to connect to the POE power supply. Contrary to the splitter, the POE power supply can add power to the network cable and then transmit signals to the terminal.
The fourth type, the switch and the terminal do not bring the situation, a friend asked this situation, what is good to say, without the belt, you can do it without the original plan. Since we are talking about POE power supply, if it is not supported, we are also prepared to take advantage of the benefits of POE power supply (although it does not necessarily happen, we simply say technology), that is, the equipment is connected at both ends, and the switch comes out to connect to the POE power supply. The other end of the network cable is connected to the POE splitter and finally transmitted to the terminal.
The above four scenarios describe all scenarios where POE power can be used. In addition, POE switch selection is also very important. A good POE switch can both stabilize the system and facilitate future maintenance upgrades.
