New home for Frankfort FPD engine

The Staton House Fire and Rescue Department, Inc. is now the home of a former Frankfort Fire Protection District (FPD) engine from 2008, a Pierce Arrow XT pumper that was sold in February 2016. This historic apparatus has found a new purpose and continues to serve the community under the Staton House F&R banner. The vehicle, once part of Illinois's fire response fleet, now proudly bears the name "Engine 1403" as it carries on its legacy with the local department. A photo of the engine, taken by the Staton House Fire and Rescue Department, captures the machine in its current state, showing its rugged exterior and well-maintained condition. This image is part of a larger gallery showcasing the department’s equipment and history, offering a glimpse into their ongoing efforts to provide reliable emergency services. While the main image is currently unavailable, the thumbnail images below represent additional photos from the same collection. These visuals help tell the story of the department’s evolution and the vehicles that have supported their mission over the years. A slideshow option is also available for those who want to view the full set of images in sequence. This piece of firefighting history serves as a reminder of the importance of preserving and maintaining equipment that has played a vital role in protecting lives and property.
