According to India’s “Economic Times†report, the new Bosch Group’s new plant in Bidadi, India, has officially opened recently and will produce diesel system products.
Bosch India's 14th Plant Opens to Boost Asia Pacific Growth
The new Bidadi plant is Bosch's 14th factory in India. It is divided into Phase I and Phase II. It has a total investment of approximately Rs 3.4 billion (US$ 51.3 million) and covers an area of ​​38,000 square meters. The first phase will mainly produce high-pressure common-rail fuel pumps. The second phase of the project will be completed in 2018. Upon completion, it will produce traditional fuel injection pumps.
Bosch India Branch stated in the statement that after the completion of the second phase of the new plant in Bidadi, the total number of employees is expected to reach 2,600.
In addition, Bosch also expects that its sales in the Asia Pacific region will double by 2020. “India is an important part of our development strategy in the Asia Pacific region. The successful operation of the Bidadi plant will also help further satisfy the needs of the local market.â€
Earlier, according to Bosch India company officials, the company plans to relocate its factory in Adugodi to Bidadi, and the Adugodi plant will be used for further expansion of the company's R&D center to create a technical and engineering center.
