New generation of Cognex CHECKER sensors do not require PLC

Cognex, the world's leading supplier of machine vision sensors, has introduced a new line of Checker sensors that includes innovative breakthroughs: the CheckerTM 101E. Checker is the world's first sensor with unique technology, with unparalleled stability and ability to visually detect complete components in the process. The Checker 101E inherits the power and ease of use of the Checker 101. In addition, the Checker 101E can directly receive encoder signals, eliminating the need for a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) for component tracking and culling on variable speed production lines.

“The easy-to-use Checker 101 sensor dramatically changes the way sensor customers detect component and component features, effectively avoiding the complex wiring, mounting, ladder logic programming, and precise component handling required when using multiple photo sensors.
