From now on, domestic cars do not need to undergo safety inspection when they are registered. Yesterday, the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau announced two brand new vehicle refinement measures. The off-road vehicle still needs to be tested.

Since the implementation of the "Regulation on Registration of Motor Vehicles" (No. 102 Order) of the Ministry of Public Security on October 1, 2008, all imported motor vehicles and some domestically produced cars, small and micro-sized passenger vehicles have been included in the scope of inspection exemption, but relatively few domestic-made cars are exempted from inspection. .

Free inspection saves 1 hour and 200 yuan fee

Last month, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched a new vehicle management initiative. It stipulates that new licenses on new vehicles do not need to go through security inspections and are free from new regulations such as photographing extensions, which can simplify the registration procedures for motor vehicles and reduce the cost of vehicle inspection before registration.

Yesterday, the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau revealed that since October 1st to 7th was the National Day holiday, the new measures started formally after the long holiday.

Starting today, citizens who apply for license plates for domestic cars do not have to conduct motor vehicle safety inspections. After checking the appearance of vehicles and confirming the uniqueness of vehicles, they can go through registration procedures directly. This measure will save at least one hour of processing time for the citizens of the license plate, and save about 200 yuan.

Exemption from vehicle production date

The traffic control department reminded that small, miniature ordinary passenger cars, off-road vehicles and other models do not belong to cars. The small, micro-passenger vehicles and two-wheeled motorcycles that are exempted from inspection are based on whether the “new vehicle exempt from inspection” is used in the remarks column of the “Vehicle Products Bulletin” to determine whether they should be exempted from inspection. However, off-road vehicles still have to be tested. Vehicles that are allowed to exempt from inspection will not need to be inspected no matter if the production date is before or after October 1.

Reminder: Small, miniature ordinary passenger cars, off-road vehicles and other models do not belong to the car, registration must still be tested. Within 2 years after leaving the factory, or within two years after the import of the motor vehicle imported by the customs, domestic cars did not apply for registration, or a traffic accident occurred prior to registration, and they need to be inspected prior to registration.

From January 1, 2011, vehicle (not including three-wheeled vehicles and low-speed trucks) and semi-trailer manufacturers will be dispatched with vehicle identification codes and real-vehicle photographs of motor vehicle exterior color photographs. Vehicles that meet the requirements of the relevant standards are registered directly with the data provided by the manufacturer. The measure will reduce the processing time by about 20 minutes on average.

The new tail number rotation rule is limited to "4 and 9" on Monday. This round of the limit continues until January 8 next year.

According to the tail number limit line policy, from the day after tomorrow (October 10th), the limit line of motor vehicles will be rotated again, and the tail number “4 and 9” will be restricted on Monday. The rotation will continue until January 8 next year.

The new round of tail number limit rules will start from the day after tomorrow, but due to the day's coincidence on Sunday, there are no restrictions on motor vehicles on the road. Therefore, the new rules formally begin on the 11th (Monday). According to the rules, the tail number of restricted vehicles is “4 and 9”.

Just in the "two sessions" period, the 20-day "4 and 9" tail number was performed smoothly, which was a bit of a loss. According to the previous round of rules, "4 and 9" were banned on the first working day after the holiday, followed by two days of rest before waiting for God's return. They also bumped into Monday and continued to limit travel in accordance with the new rules "4 and 9". The traffic control department reminded the driver to pay attention to the stop number of the motor vehicle and avoid violating the road.

As of the end of September, the number of motor vehicles in the city exceeded 4.52 million. According to the current growth rate, it is expected that in the first half of next year (perhaps in May and June), the number of motor vehicles in Beijing will exceed 5 million. This may mean that the traffic volume in the urban areas will exceed the level before the implementation of the 2008 tail number limit.
