In January, the national automobile production and sales declined compared with the previous month. Sales volume declined slightly above production, but production and sales still reached 101.63%, and the overall production and sales situation remained stable.
Statistics show that in January, the production and sales of automobiles in the country totaled 521,600 units and 530,100 units, which were 7.15% and 14.60% lower than the previous month, respectively, a year-on-year increase of 28.24% and 44.62% respectively.
The top five automotive sales companies in January were SAIC, FAW, Chang'an, Dongfeng and Beiqi. They sold 103,500 vehicles, 78,000 vehicles, 68,800 vehicles, 67,700 vehicles, and 4,200 vehicles, respectively, compared with the previous month. In addition to Chang’an, the other four companies showed declines in different degrees, among which FAW and BAIC had more significant declines; compared with the same period of last year, except for the small decline of BAIC, other companies showed rapid growth, with SAIC Group showing the most significant increase. . The five companies sold 360,000 vehicles in January, which accounted for 67.91% of the country’s total automobile sales.
