Chemical industry determines the key breakthrough

The year 2008 is a crucial year for the implementation of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" for the development of chemical science and technology. To this end, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association has carried out an overall deployment of this year's chemical science and technology innovation work: Organizing major key common technologies for the industry and launching major technological equipment. To develop and promote a number of major new technologies, new products and new equipment in the industry, promote the integration of production, education and research, and further improve the ability and level of innovation in the chemical industry. This is the information that the reporter obtained from the Science and Technology Department of the Petrochemical Association on the occasion of the New Year.

According to Hu Qianlin, director of the Science and Technology Department of the Petrochemical Association, the major key technologies of the chemical industry will be tackled from three aspects: First, to strengthen the research and application of key technologies for special high performance polymer materials, and to organize the development of key technologies for high value-added fine chemicals. And the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” National Science and Technology Support Program for the Development and Demonstration of Key Technologies for Ammonia Nitrogen Wastewater Reduction and Resource Utilization in Industrialization and Chemical Industry, the Development of High-Gravity Desulfurization and Carbon Dioxide Capture and Purification Technology, and the Application and Demonstration in Tertiary Oil Recovery Research work. Secondly, focusing on industries such as synthetic ammonia, chlor-alkali, calcium carbide and titanium dioxide, a number of technical research projects on energy conservation and emission reduction were organized to provide technical support for the chemical industry to achieve the overall goal of energy conservation and emission reduction during the “11th Five-Year Plan” period. The third is to organize technological breakthroughs such as nanocatalysis, new coal chemical technology, fine chemicals and polymer materials, and strive to include it in national science and technology projects.

In the area of localization of equipment, the association will organize the completion of research projects on the localization of coal chemical technology equipment and other soft topics. At the same time, relying on industrialization demonstration projects, it actively develops large-scale pulverized coal gasification, large-scale methanol synthesis of acetic acid from low-pressure carbonyl, large-scale methanol to methanol, and methanol-to-olefins. At the same time as it strives for national projects, it also implements projects and Development units to ensure the smooth progress of research and development.

In addition, the petrochemical association will also adopt various forms to promote new coal gasification technologies, ammonia synthesis catalytic technologies, methanol and dimethyl ether synthesis technologies, new separation technologies and equipment independently developed in China, and coordinate with the national energy conservation and emission reduction work. , In the chemical industry to promote a number of new energy-saving emission reduction technologies.

It is understood that advancing the industry-based technological innovation system in which enterprises are the mainstay, combined production, education and research has always been the focus of the association's scientific and technological work. This year, the petrochemical association will continue to nurture and identify a number of industrial technological innovation companies and strengthen their dominant position in technological innovation. Organize a number of strategic alliances for technological innovation, and implement the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Promoting Production, Learning, and Research" signed with chemical universities to accelerate the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.
