It is reported that the "Norwegian Escape" cruise ship was the first of the new Breakway + class cruise ships delivered to Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) in October 2015. With 19 decks and 4,200 bunks, 164,600 gross tons and 325.8 m long, this ship is not only Norway's largest cruise ship to date, but also one of the world's largest cruise ships.
A number of Alfa Laval systems were installed on the "Norwegian Escape" to achieve a wide range of functions on board.
Due to the heavy oil, low-sulfur heavy oil and marine gasoline are required. For heavy oil and marine gasoline, the ship has six Alfa Laval S separation systems and an additional separation system for the lubricating oil. The vessel is also fitted with two medium-sized Alfa Laval Aalborg OM oil-fired boilers.
The ship's waste fuel recovery will be completed by the unique Alfa Laval PureDry waste oil recovery system, and the waste heat generated by the engine will power five Alfa Laval XW waste heat recovery boilers. In addition, the vessel is equipped with an Alfa Laval MEP freshwater manufacturing machine, an Alfa Laval PureBilge oil water treatment system and an Alfa Laval PureBallast ballast water treatment system with a capacity of 500 m3/h to ensure environmental protection.
