Denso plans to build a new small motor plant in India


The Denso Group has announced that it will build a new factory in Jhajjar, Haryana, India to produce small motors for windshield wipers, power windows, and engine cooling system components.

Denso will invest a total of 2.7 billion rupees (about 52.2 million U.S. dollars) to build the new plant. The construction of the plant will start in May of this year. It is expected to start production in July 2013 and 450 new employees will be employed when the plant is put into operation.

Michio Adachi, executive director of the power assembly control system business, said that the Indian market has great potential for growth. It is one of the very important markets for Denso. The new plant will help to increase the capacity of Denso in India and provide better services. For local customers.

The products produced by the new factory are mainly supplied to automakers such as Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors, which have production bases in northern India.
