The reporter learned from the establishment of the alliance that the Alliance 6 member business is divided: Eaton is responsible for the research and development of the new energy vehicle power system, IBM is responsible for the integration and management of the smart grid, AECOM is responsible for the transportation infrastructure design, and CITIC Guoan is responsible for providing lithium. Ion battery and storage system development, Ocean Motor provides new energy vehicle traction motor and motor control system. The business segment responsible for Beiqi Foton, the promoter, is the design and production of energy vehicles.

According to an industry expert, the industry chain of new energy vehicles based on electric vehicles is relatively long, and there are many technical difficulties in the core batteries, motors, and electronic controls of the powertrain. It is difficult to tackle the problem. Currently, there is not a single vehicle manufacturer in China that controls the industry. The complete and mature manufacturing chain of the electric vehicle industry needs to cooperate with each other to achieve research.
