400-foot jack-up rig development research passed acceptance

The 400-foot jack-up drilling rig design completed the basic design and obtained the approval of the foreign classification society (AIP). It fully grasped the core technology of the design and construction of the new jack-up drilling platform and greatly improved the deep water of CSSC. The independent research and development capability of the jack-up drilling platform. The research results of the project were applied to the 2+3 jack-up rigs of foreign shipowners POD and the 1+1 jack-up rigs of CNPC, which were undertaken by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The project team said that the 400-foot jack-up rig development and research project will pass the acceptance test as an opportunity to further seize the good market demand for the self-elevating platform for offshore oil and gas development, and continuously develop 200 feet with the actual experience of engineering. The self-elevating drilling platforms of different water depth series, such as 300 feet and 500 feet, can meet the development needs of different ship owners and sea areas, and further enhance the design and construction capability and international competitiveness of CSSC's self-elevating platform.
