Engine Company 89 was on scene dealing with several garbage cans in an alley that had been set ablaze by someone near 4327 N. Keystone. Shortly after their arrival, Engine 89 received another call for garbage cans further down the street, dispatched directly from the main fire alarm center.
Upon reaching the new location, Engine 89 quickly identified an emerging situation involving two alley garages that were now fully engulfed in flames. These fires had spread rapidly and ended up threatening a nearby two-story home. The crew immediately requested a working fire status to prioritize resources and address the escalating danger.
As you can see in these photos taken by Tim Olk, firefighters worked tirelessly to control the blaze and protect surrounding structures. [Insert captions here for each image]
