Working fire in Schaumburg, 12-4-22

Larry Shapiro shared this account: Firefighters from Schaumburg were dispatched to a commercial building fire at an auto body repair shop just after 6 PM on Sunday evening (December 4, 2022), located at 841 W Wise Road, just a block away from Schaumburg Station 53. Police reported seeing 20-foot flames at the back of the building, which was confirmed by firefighters upon their arrival. The incident was escalated to a Code 4 working fire, prompting all Schaumburg units to respond, along with an engine and ambulance from Roselle. Mutual aid companies were dispatched to cover Schaumburg's stations. The fire was actually in a dumpster or garbage area at the rear of the building, which caused some concern about potential spread to the building's roof. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within approximately 10 minutes, but spent over an hour checking for any extensions and addressing hotspots. The correct address for the incident turned out to be 857 W Wise Road. Hanover Township Emergency Services also arrived on the scene with support units and lighting assistance. --- Here are some images captured by Larry Shapiro: ![Larry Shapiro photo](#chicagoareafire.com; #larryshapiro; #shapirophotography.net; #SchaumburgFD; #FireTruck; #Pierce) ![Larry Shapiro photo](#chicagoareafire.com; #larryshapiro; #shapirophotography.net; #SchaumburgFD; #Firefighter) ![Larry Shapiro photo](#chicagoareafire.com; #larryshapiro; #shapirophotography.net; #SchaumburgFD; #Firefighter) ![Larry Shapiro photo](#chicagoareafire.com; #larryshapiro; #shapirophotography.net; #SchaumburgFD; #FireTruck; #Pierce) --- As I scroll through the gallery of photos, I can see the intensity of the situation. The additional lighting provided by Hanover Township likely made a significant difference in visibility and safety during the operation. These images really capture the scale and effort involved in firefighting operations, highlighting both the danger and the teamwork required to manage such incidents effectively.

Submersible Pump Bushings & Shaft Sleeves

Submersible Pump Bushings & Shaft Sleeves

Our Submersible Pump Bushings & Shaft Sleeves are essential Components designed for use in submersible electric pumps (ESP), downhole pump systems, and other industrial fluid pumping applications. These components are engineered to protect critical rotating parts such as the pump shaft and motor, extending the life of the pump and ensuring smooth, efficient operation in harsh environments.

Submersible pump bushings and shaft sleeves play a crucial role in protecting the pump shaft from wear, corrosion, and abrasion caused by continuous rotation and exposure to aggressive fluids. Typically made from high-performance materials such as tungsten carbide, ceramic, or stainless steel, these parts offer excellent durability and resistance to extreme conditions, including high pressures, abrasive particles, and chemical corrosion.

  • Bushings serve as bearing elements that support and guide the pump shaft within the pump housing, reducing friction and ensuring proper alignment.
  • Shaft Sleeves cover the pump shaft itself, protecting it from direct contact with abrasive or corrosive fluids, thus reducing the likelihood of damage and increasing the operational lifespan of the pump.
