New mobile asset for Lake County Quad 2

The Quad Cities region of Lake County recently obtained a surplus 4×4 military cargo truck to assist during flooding and heavy snow emergencies. This vehicle, a 1998 Stewart & Stevenson 4×4 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), model M-1078, carries the serial number A-TOO8584BDCG. It’s an older model but has proven to be rugged and reliable, making it ideal for tough conditions. Attached are several images taken by Larry Shapiro that showcase this vehicle. The first image highlights the truck's exterior, capturing its robust design and functionality. The second and third photos provide additional views from different angles, giving a better sense of its build quality. The final image focuses on the production plate, which contains essential details about the vehicle's specifications and origin. These trucks were originally designed for military use but have found a new purpose aiding local emergency services. Their ability to navigate challenging terrains makes them invaluable assets in our area. I hope these photos give you a good idea of what we’re working with. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out. Best regards, [Your Name]

Fire Hydrant

Fire hydrant is a device that provides a water supply for firefighters to use in extinguishing fires. It is typically a metal pipe with a valve and a connection point for a fire hose. Fire hydrants are usually located along streets and are connected to an underground water main. When a fire occurs, firefighters can open the valve on the hydrant to release a high-pressure water supply. The water can then be directed onto the fire to help control and extinguish it. Fire hydrants are an essential part of firefighting infrastructure in cities and towns.
