As seen around … Highland Park

I just came across some exciting updates from Highland Park! There’s a brand-new ambulance, number 34, that recently joined the ranks of the Highland Park Fire Department. This beauty is a 2013 Ford F-450 equipped with a Horton Type I module—such an upgrade for emergency response in our area! You can see how sleek and professional it looks in the photos shared by Larry Shapiro. It’s truly a testament to modern firefighting technology. On another note, I also got a chance to check out the Dive Squad and their impressive setup. Dive Rescue Unit 34 and Boat 34 are ready for action too! The team has been using a 2006 Ford F-550 paired with a 2007 Rescue Vehicles of Iowa boat since 2015. These guys mean business when it comes to water rescues, and they’ve got the equipment to back it up. Larry Shapiro captured some great shots of them in action as well. Looking at these vehicles really makes me proud of our local first responders. They’re always prepared and constantly upgrading their fleet to ensure everyone stays safe. If you haven’t seen the new ambulance or the dive unit yet, definitely take a moment to appreciate the hard work that goes into keeping our community secure. It’s not every day you get to see such dedication in action!
