Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share something really cool that happened to me over Father's Day. My wife surprised me with a tour of Old Engine 41, which was such a thoughtful gift. It turned out to be even more memorable than I expected because while we were there, Engine 2 and Fireboat 6-8-8 got called into action down by the river near Wabash Avenue.
Turns out there was some debris or trash jammed up in the gears of the bridge, causing a bit of an issue. The fire itself wasn’t huge, but Fireboat 6-8-8 ended up getting splashed with water during their response when they used their deck gun to help douse things. What made this one special for me was the perspective—being on the river level gave us some really unique shots of the whole operation. Even though the flames were minor, the imagery felt powerful to me.
Here are a few photos I snapped from the scene. They might not look like much at first glance, but trust me, they capture something special about how these guys work together no matter the size of the call.

Hope you enjoy them!
Take care,
Mark
