I just got back from an amazing event that I thought you’d find interesting! Last Saturday, May 16th, 2015, I went to the Lake County Fire Expo hosted by the Lake County Fire Chiefs Association over at Gurnee Mills Mall. It was such a cool experience because so many local fire departments came out to teach the public about fire safety. I snapped quite a few pictures while I was there, and I’ve put together a Flickr album with even more photos if you're interested.

I wanted to share a few of the photos here too. The first one shows a Ferrara fire engine—such a sleek design, and it looks ready for action! Then there’s this awesome shot of a fire truck fully loaded with tools and equipment. You can really see how prepared they are for any emergency situation. There were also several fire trucks on display, each looking more impressive than the last. And finally, this American LaFrance tower ladder—it’s massive and looks like something straight out of a movie.
It was fascinating to see everything up close and personal. The firefighters were super knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. They even let some kids try on their helmets and sit in the fire trucks, which was adorable. It made me realize just how important these events are for educating the community about fire safety and showing everyone the hard work that goes into keeping us safe.
