Commissioner Greg Koeppen recently informed us that the construction work at Fire Station #3 on Peterson Road is officially underway. As someone who's been following the developments closely, I can tell you this is great news for the community. Greg was kind enough to share some exclusive photos from the construction site taken in October 2011.
The first image shows the initial stages of the building process. You can see the groundwork being laid out, marking the beginning of what will soon be a fully functional fire station. It’s exciting to think about how this new facility will enhance emergency response times and services in the area.
In another shot, we get a slightly different perspective of the same site. This picture highlights the structural framework starting to take shape. It’s clear that significant progress has been made since the project commenced. The dedication and hard work put into this project are evident in these visuals.

As residents of Grayslake, we have much to look forward to with this new addition to our fire protection district. Not only does it signify improved infrastructure, but it also reflects the commitment of our local officials to ensure safety and preparedness for everyone in the community.
