CFD sells surplus engine

I recently came across this listing for a 1992 Spartan/Luverne fire engine that was previously used by the Chicago Fire Department. It's currently up for sale and seems to be in decent condition. I thought it might interest some of my friends who are into classic emergency vehicles or looking for unique projects. The photos show quite a few angles of the vehicle, highlighting both its exterior and interior features. There are multiple images to give you a good sense of what you're getting. The seller has done a decent job capturing the details, from the iconic design of the Spartan chassis to the Luverne equipment mounted on it. This engine would be perfect for collectors, restoration enthusiasts, or municipalities looking to add a piece of firefighting history to their fleet. If maintained properly, it could serve many more years as either a working vehicle or a showpiece. It’s always exciting to see surplus firefighting equipment being given a second life. Whether you're restoring it to pristine condition or using it for educational purposes, this rig has plenty of stories to tell. Special thanks to Dennis for sharing this find with me. It’s always great when people pass along interesting items like this. Let me know if anyone ends up making an offer or if there are any updates on its status! #FireEngine #SpartanLuverne #ChicagoFD #VintageEmergencyVehicles
