The Legacy of DNEPR

The DNEPR motorcycle has a rich and complex history that dates back to the early 1930s. Originally developed in the Soviet Union as a replacement for outdated military motorcycles, the DNEPR was inspired by the German BMW R71. The M-72 model, which laid the foundation for the DNEPR, was produced during World War II and later became a symbol of Soviet engineering.

Despite its historical significance, the DNEPR fell into obscurity over the years. However, in 2021, Delfast acquired the full trademark and intellectual property rights, reviving the legendary name and bringing it into the modern era of electric mobility.

Bringing DNEPR into the Future

Delfast, known for its high-performance electric bikes, took on the challenge of transforming the classic DNEPR into an electric motorcycle. The result is a powerful and innovative machine that combines the heritage of the original with cutting-edge technology.

The DNEPR Electric features a lightweight EMRAX-228 synchronous motor, delivering 100 kW (136 HP) of short-term power and 50 kW (68 HP) of sustained output. It’s powered by a 12 kWh, 800 V battery with a maximum current of 200A and a torque of 220 Nm, making it one of the most advanced electric motorcycles in the market.

A Record-Breaking Performance

At Bonneville Speed Week 2021, the DNEPR Electric proved its mettle. Piloted by professional Ukrainian racer Serhii Malyk, the bike set a new average speed record of 107.217 mph in the “A” Omega motorcycle category. This achievement surpassed Malyk’s previous record of 104.78 mph from 2018, solidifying the DNEPR Electric’s place in motorsport history.
