Harvey firefighters responded to a second-alarm house fire at 192 E. 157th Street yesterday afternoon (January 22, 2015). The incident was captured by photographers Josh Boyajian and Tim Olk.
Josh Boyajian shared his account of the scene: "We arrived at the fire around the time the Harvey Fire Department was already on the scene. We had just come from Merrionette Park, so it took us a bit to get there. When we arrived, Harvey crews were already working on the first floor, but heavy flames were still visible from the second story. The structure’s construction made it challenging for crews to fully knock down the fire, but they managed to prevent it from spreading to the neighboring house to the east.
