New engine for Grayslake FPD (more)

The Grayslake Fire Protection District (FPD) held a wet-down and push-in ceremony today at Station 1 to officially welcome their new Rosenbauer pumper truck. Engine 271 is now on duty, replacing the older Seagrave engine that will be relocated to Station 3. The event was a great opportunity for the community to see the new apparatus in action and celebrate the continued commitment of the fire department to public safety.

The new Rosenbauer engine is expected to enhance response times and improve overall efficiency for the department. It's always exciting to see new equipment roll in, especially when it's part of a tradition that dates back decades. These ceremonies not only mark the arrival of new vehicles but also serve as a reminder of the hard work and dedication of our local firefighters.
