China terminates anti-dumping against South Korean polyester

Recently, the Ministry of Commerce issued the No. 9 Announcement of 2008, announcing that it will terminate the anti-dumping duties imposed on imported polyester chips and polyester staple fibers originating in South Korea from February 3, 2008.
In February 2003, China imposed anti-dumping duties on imported polyester chips and polyester staple fibers originally produced in South Korea. The implementation period of anti-dumping duties is five years from February 3, 2003.
On August 3, 2007, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement announcing that the anti-dumping measures applicable to imported polyester chips and polyester staple fibers originating in South Korea will be terminated on February 3, 2008, and stipulated on the date of the announcement. From then on, domestic industries or natural persons, legal persons or related organizations representing domestic industries may submit formal applications for final review to the Ministry of Commerce in written form 60 days before the termination date of the anti-dumping measures.
