On August 19, 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) website announced the second batch of companies that met the “Entry of Lead-acid Battery Industryâ€. Among them, seven short-listed companies, including Shuangdeng Group, Jinchangxing Power Supply, Fengjiang Industry, Nandu Energy Technology, and Xunde Power Supply, were shortlisted.
At present, there are nearly 2,000 lead-acid battery manufacturers in the domestic market, and the target for rectification is to control about 300 companies. An analyst from a brokerage firm in Shanghai said that the development of the technology will drive the industry to become the mainstream of lead-acid batteries, and the industry situation will be greatly improved.
