High-efficiency desulfurization technology completes industrialization test

The high-efficiency desulfurization technology developed by the Nanhua University Research Institute has recently successfully passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal by Sinopec Corporation. The technology introduces a high-performance desulfurizer into the traditional tannin solution process, enhancing the removal of hydrogen sulfide from water gas and shift gas. The technology has already secured 8 invention patent applications, with 3 of them granted so far. These achievements place it at an international advanced level compared to similar technologies. In practical applications at the Nanjing Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. chemical plant, the technology was implemented in semi-water gas and shift gas desulfurization systems. The results have been impressive—improved desulfurization performance, stable equipment operation, a notable increase in sulfur recovery, reduced hydrogen loss, and substantial economic and social benefits.
