BPSM-I online particle size analyzer developed successfully

The BPSM-I online particle size analyzer is an advanced automated device designed to monitor critical parameters in the continuous production process of mineral processing. It finds wide application in industries such as non-ferrous metals, black metals, cement, chemicals, and gold. This system is part of the 15th research project approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, specifically under the sub-project titled "Research on Mineral Processing Process Monitoring Technology and Automatic Control System." The BPSM-I consists of eight key components: a slurry steady flow box, an instrument control box, an electronic touch screen, a valve box, an air purification unit, a measuring head, a calibration sampler, and a support rack. The core component is a nationally recognized measuring head, known for its high technical standards. The instrument control box houses a PLC programmable controller and associated modules, serving as the central command unit. The touch screen facilitates input, output, and human-machine interaction, enhancing user experience. This analyzer addresses several key technological challenges, including the development of a high-precision and stable measuring probe structure, overcoming difficulties in dynamic and static contact measurement, selecting displacement sensors with high precision and sensitivity, implementing advanced software algorithms for signal processing, and designing sampling devices that ensure representative sample collection. As a direct measurement slurry particle size analyzer, the BPSM-I features zero-correction technology that automatically compensates for drift and wear effects. It remains unaffected by changes in slurry viscosity, temperature, or concentration, and it does not interfere with measurements caused by bubbles or flake minerals. No degassing, demagnetization, or dilution is required, eliminating external influences that could lead to measurement errors. It achieves an accuracy of 1–2%, covering a particle size range from 600μm to 31μm (equivalent to 30–500 mesh). Users can optionally calibrate two types of particles for display and output, making it highly flexible. According to preliminary statistics from Yongping Copper Mine, the implementation of this system has improved grinding efficiency by 6%. After accounting for production costs, the annual economic benefit reaches approximately 8 million yuan. Currently, the system has been contracted for use in repairing the imported PSI-200 Particle Size Analyzer at Baotou Iron and Steel Group Concentrator using domestically produced measuring heads. The potential for further promotion and application is very promising.

Soaping Agents

Soap washing agent used after dyeing or printing of textiles, the earliest use of soap, soap washing is thus named, because soap is not resistant to hard water, and easy to produce color problems, so it is gradually replaced by the screening of detergent or other surfactants.

The soaping agent has greatly improved the washing effect in textile printing and dyeing industry, but the anti-back stain effect is still not ideal, especially in the soap process, it is easy to occur back-staining problem on white ground, affecting the quality of products. Therefore, different kinds of professional soaping agent are created.
