The 600,000-ton-per-year ketone-benzene dewaxing unit at PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical Company officially started all processes at 4:00 PM on the same day and successfully produced qualified products, marking a successful steam test. This milestone represents a major step forward in the company's refining restructuring efforts. With the completion and commissioning of this advanced facility, Fushun Petrochemical is now capable of processing up to 1.6 million tons of ketone benzene annually, significantly enhancing its production capacity. The unit is expected to generate nearly 600,000 tons of paraffin wax each year, which accounts for approximately one-fifth of global output. Additionally, the plant will export around 200,000 tons annually, making up about one-sixth of the world’s total paraffin trade. As the largest producer and exporter of paraffin wax globally, Fushun is set to strengthen its position in the international market. This development not only boosts the company's reputation but also reinforces China's role in the global petrochemical industry. The new unit is expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support long-term sustainable growth for the company.
